The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus - Lily Cole - Chucky

Terry Gilliam’s latest film The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus is still 2 months away from being released in the U.S. and what a shame that is because I REALLY, REALLY want to see it. Especially after seeing these 8 clips provided by the guys over at Collider.com.

I didn’t know until I saw these clips, but the movie is set in our modern universe. I was caught off guard when Heath Ledger’s character, Tony, was looking for his cell phone, and when a child is inside the Imaginarium playing what looks like a Nintendo DS. This took away a little bit of the fantasy vibe I was running high on from the trailers, but my enthusiasm to see the movie still stands.

Check out the clips in the full post.

The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus

It sucks that us common folks here in the United States have to wait 2 more months for The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus to hit our theaters when it’s out in the United Kingdom. Doesn’t the studios know anything about bit torrenting? Why even bother releasing it 2 months from now?! You could lose a very small fraction of people who are too eager to wait until December to see the movie, especially when they can download it for free with a few mouse clicks. Oh well, what do I know? I am just trying to justify my rant with assumptions.

A new poster for The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus has appeared online recently. The poster is for the U.K. release and has an amazing design. Such great detail was put into this poster. It stays true to Gilliams style. It’s not some random grab of movie stills photoshopped together. Very cool indeed. Another poster worthy of gracing the halls leading up to my private theater.

Check it out.
