A Nightmare On Elm Street 2010
This new poster made me laugh because the image really doesn’t go along with the tag line. “He knows where you sleep.” So, apparently, Freddy knows some girl sleeps standing up in a random 3 foot puddle in the middle of her house. Clearly, this shows why Freddy is such an intelligent villain. Shit, if I was going to stalk a girl, I would never guess she slept in a 3 foot puddle in the hall of her house. I would just look through her bedroom window and call it a day when I don’t see her silhouette across the bed.

Damn, Freddy, you really are a master stalker! Check out the new poster in the full post.

Shutter Island

Another Super Bowl, another day of high profile commercials with something to prove. Ah, yes, I do love me some Super Bowl. But not because of the football. I love it for all the cool commercials that come out and movie trailers that might be showing for the first time. But I have to say, I am a little disappointed with this “new” trailer for Shutter Island that is set to air this upcoming Super Bowl Sunday. The trailer is reminiscent of the Avatar trailers where the director’s credientals take up almost as much screen time as the actual movie footage. BOO! The sad thing is that this tactic actually works, so trailer studios will continue to make these time-wasting trailers that do nothing but remind us of movies we have already seen instead of showing us footage from the movie we want to see.

There is a few quick shots of footage we have yet to see in the previous trailers, but nothing to make you change your mind about whether or not you will be seeing the movie.

Check out the trailer in the full post.

Nightmare On Elm Street High Res Image

We still have ways to go before we see Mr. Krueger return to the silver screen on April 30, 2010. So, from now till then, we will just have to settle on the teaser images and trailers.

Some new photos of Freddy have appeared online. They still don’t give a clear shot of Freddy’s face, but I was able to bring out some more detail in Photoshop from one of the photos.

Check ‘em out in the full post.

Freddy Kuger-Chu

It’s not really that much of a drastic change, but the burn scar is definitely more realistic looking.

Figures.com has posted a photo of the first Krueger figurine for the upcoming Platinum Dunes remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street. The figurine looks highly detailed and should give all of us a good idea of what exactly Jackie Earle Haley (who plays the menacing boogeyman, Freddy Krueger) will look like when he dons the infamous brown fedora and razor clawed leather glove.

Check out the full size Krueger figurine in the full post.

Jackie Earle Haley Sinestro

Harry Knowles’ secret spies have reported back to their master some very interesting news that Jackie Earle Haley of recent Watchmen & Nightmare on Elm Street fame MIGHT be in lead to play Sinestro, the villain in the Green Lantern movie starring Ryan Reynolds. AICN also reports that superman could be making a cameo as well.

As always with these types of rumors…. or any rumor in general, nothing has been written in stone. The movie hasn’t even begun filming yet. So keep checking back as we post any updates on the rumor.

I think Haley would be an awesome Sinestro. He is one of those few actors who can easily transform into a character and lose all recognizeability of himself.
