Here is the second entry into my dev blog. I started out last week with a BIGGGGG list of things I need to fix / add / adjust on the site. You can see which one of those edits I have completed and checked off the list below. I started off this weekend kind of bad. I was feeling really tired on Friday, so instead of working late into the morning hours of Saturday, I went to bed right after dinner.

Now this should have not been a problem because going to sleep early would have allowed me to wake up earlier on Saturday, which I DID do, but I started feeling REALLY tired again after dinner Saturday night and went to sleep again!

In total I slept 12 hours Saturday. Now it's Sunday and I am having a hard time concentrating.

I feel kinda shitty for not posting lately. But I must stay strong and remember that I am to solely focus on completing the site before I get back into writing.

Big thanks to Veronica for picking up reigns and posting some great stories.

I will be doing a podcast later on tonight. I actually did one last Sunday, but the quality of it was so bad that I decided to cut it and let it be a practice run. Too bad... the podcast last week was actually pretty good.

I wound up ordering some prosumer mics for the podcast tonight so the quality will be much better.
I won't reveal anything about the new podcast until I post it. Hopefully you guys will like it.

We are going to make this new podcast a weekly thing. With a new episode recorded every Sunday, and posted ASAP (early within the week).

Well, I hope I will be able to be a lot more productive this week to make up for my sleeping this weekend.

Editorial Front Page Blog

1. Tweak front end editorial blog. Change some colors around for better viewing
2. Add editor avatar to blog post title bars. Use gravatar.
3. Add "short author bio" at bottom of full post pages.
4. Fix "related post" padding. Pain in the ass!
5. Use VB's external content handler to plugin latest forum post and blog highlights on front page.
6. Modify editorial blog top nav bar to match that of the forums.
7. Add "Next Article" - "Previous Article" links at bottom of single post pages.
8. Change secondary location based navbar to match community navbar.
9. Change Cremo Cast to Podcast to make way for new podcast.
10. Modify footer "advertise here" link to contact us page.
11. Create Custom Flash Podcast Player with MC branding. Must have Embed button.
12. Re-design widget sidebar colors and graphics.
13. Put Facebook Widget on front page.
14. Change to a better comment system.
15. Add social buttons (digg, stumble) to front page post, under title bar.
16. Widen padding on post section to match post title bar.
17. Add links to popular movie tags with custom widget images.
18. Update sitemap.
19. Fix "no comments" issue on post title bar. No high priority.
20. Add blogroll.

Community End - Forums / Blogs / Groups

1. Tighten padding on breadcrumb nav below (home > forum >).
2. Create forum home icons for new post, unread post, replied to post, etc.
3. Correct color on forum time above the footer.
4. Create better RSS icon
5. Modify footer "advertise here" link to contact us page.
6. Stylize login bar area in the header. Login fields, and register buttons.
7. Improve spam / anti-bot protection.
8. Fix width and padding on "Vbulletin Message" area.
9. Stylize VB page directing (page you see when logging in / or when there are no new post).
10. Change green font on blog tabs to red.
11. Change blog portal user pics from User profile picture to avatar.
12. Re-color icons on blog portal.
13. Fix layout on "Best Blogs" page. White font exist on white background.
14. Modify blog portal tabs coloring.
15. Fix link hover click coloring for "inline mod" on blog portal.
16. Create default "no avatar" picture.
17. Change style on "create new blog" button to match the rest of the site's buttons.
18. Change user profile page links under profile pic look the same user their blog page profile sidebar.
19. Make new icons for profile page. Contact, add as friend, subscribe, etc...
20. Fix blog title background from transparent to red. Fix padding and font colors
21. Fix tags box below full blog post box. Enable more social links aside from Digg and Stumble.
22. Fix background color behind "email this blog" box.
23. Fix "comment on this blog" box spacing, font colors, and icons.
24. Make new folder icon for blog categories.
25. Stylize WYSIWYG box globally across the site.
26. Check send to address and settings for forum "contact" us page.
27. Stylize Calendar Page. Don't forget Calendar has year, month, week, day pages.
28. Stylize Members List page. Try to add more sorting options.
29. Stylize "Forum Leaders" page. Test out different user groups for this page.
30. Stylize subscription page.
31. Stylize "My Settings" sidebar. Header bar color, bg colors, icons.
32. Stylize Who's Online page.
33. Fix padding and bg colors on search page.
34. Stylize "Search Results" page. Make sure to stylize it with 2 or more results on the page.
35. Stylize "user logged in" dash board bar. Particularly the "Notifications" drop down menu. Link click colors are still too dark on dash board nav.
36. Stylize "my settings" page.
37. Stylize "User Groups" page. Padding, colors, icons, search bar.
38. Add "create blog post" link on "my settings page".
39. Stylize Private Messages page. Fix padding, colors, and overall layout.
40. Figure out how to make the WYSIWYG editor always match the length of the smilies right bar.
41. Look into award system. Make badges.
42. Create user profile defined groups.
43. Create personal signature with MC community easy links - banners, guides, etc
44. Replace Analytics.

Global Site

1. Re-direct backups.
2. Privacy Policy page.
3. Look into Register / Login with Facebook plugins for both Forums and Front Page.
4. Make TV page with video player. Trailers, clips, behind the scenes, etc

Marketing Development (these don't go in any order)

• Design and print biz cards.
• Design and print postcards.
• Print black t-shirt. Get an idea of how many to purchase based on who wants one, and the sizes requested.
• Create banners for members to use for promotion.
• Setup Rotten Tomatoes account.
• Setup IMDB account.
• Setup feed-burner account.
• Finish Skull Man's character design (flash based).
• Brainstorm on Comic-Con marketing ideas. Shirts, yo-yo, etc
• Research local college newspapers to advertise in.
• Find advertising exchanges with local business. Movie oriented only. [not completely 100% on this, but I should research it anyway].
• Research better S.E.O habits / site optimization. [ this is an ongoing task ]

Content Development

• Come up with a new contest for the month. Check your notes for ideas already written down.
• Create forum rules sticky.
• Create "how to post" guide.
• Start up C.M.N. [details top secret!] - once the forums start getting active.
• Start up Guilt Pleasures Column - Header Graphic
