Fixin The Internet
Alright, folks. I am sorry for having to do this again, but I gotta reroute my blogging time to focus on some back end site stuff. Some of which will bring a visual change to the site you might notice.

So from now until Monday I will be keeping the blogging feed low. I will still be posting my Top 10 list for best movies of 2009 and any major news that could potentially break during this semi hiatus.

The main reason for this break is that it’s really getting to me that we would be going into the new year with the site still only at 80% of what it’s supposed to be. I want to start the new year off with a bang, and I can’t do that with this on my back. Plus, a lot of people are on vacation, so our readership is lower than usual, which means this is a good opportunity to hammer away while no one is around to hear the noise, if ya get what I mean.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

I just wanted to say MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE! Thank you to all our readers and supporters, friends and family included. We are still a relatively new site with only a few months under our belt, but we already have a growing group of readers. My wish for Christmas and the New Year is that this site just blows up in content and readership. Especially in community interaction such as the blogs and forums.

So raise your glasses and let’s toast to an exciting new year for Movie Crematorium. Thanks, guys and gals ;) .

Just a quick update for anyone who has been visiting the site as of late. You all have noticed that we have not been posting at all. My apologies for the lack of updates. We have been moving to a new location, and the transition has had some bumps along the way. We are set to make a full return to filling your brain with all the movie goodness you can sink your teeth into starting next week.

I am off to see Avatar in a few hours, so expect our return with a full Avatar review. Along with more original content, larger focus on community features, and slight visual upgrades.

Thanks for your understanding. Once again, I apologize for the lack in updates.

Um Woops

Yeah… sorry for the lack of post today. I ran into some car troubles and wasn’t able to get to my laptop until really late tonight.

Movie Crematorium Newsletter

Last Friday I mentioned I would be spending most of my weekend doing some behind the scenes work on the site to offer a better reading experience for everyone. Well, what I was speaking of was a newsletter design I had been working on.

You see… I know not everyone has time everyday to read up on all the various blogs and industry news sites. Some have no time at all outside of a few hours here and there throughout the week. So these people miss out on exciting movie news that we may post during the week. Well, we are going to help those busy people out by sending them a newsletter at the end of every week (if they subscribe), highlighting the hottest and most popular news post and the latest movie trailers.

We will also post any miscellaneous info on site news that involves our community such as our monthly DVD giveaway contest.

The newsletter is easy to read and navigate through so there are no issues finding the content you want to read and skipping the rest.

If you want to subscribe to the newsletter, CLICK HERE to jump to the sign up page. It’s really easy to sign up for. All you need to do is enter your email address.

We are sending out our first newsletter this Saturday. Don’t miss it. I hear the first person who opens it might win something ;)

This isn’t really movie related, but damn it, I put a lot of hard work in this costume, and since I run this site I can do whatever I want. Besides, you will forgive me for posting a non movie related post once you see my costume.

Check it out! Aside from being a movie lover, I also have a passion for playing video games. One of my favorite video games of all time is Valve’s zombie shooter, Left 4 Dead.

Left 4 Dead Tank Costume

Left 4 Dead Tank Costume

For the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con, I really wanted to create a kick ass costume that would floor the competition and push my creativity. When I was thinking about what costumes I could do, the zombie Tank from Left 4 Dead came to mind almost instantly. So I made up my mind and was determined to create the best Left 4 Dead Tank costume ever made.

After 3 months of long, grueling work, I finished the beast and was able to ship it off to the San Diego Comic-Con. Here are some of my favorite photos of me in costume taken during the Con.

Enjoy the gallery! I posted a graphic list of what tools and material I used to create this costume. Check the list out below the gallery.
