Time for our daily Nightcap News. Today we have nine clips from Invictus provided by Collider.

Invictus focuses on Nelson Mandela’s first term as president in South Africa in which he tries to unite his segregated nation through calling upon the nation’s underdog Rugby team to win the Rugby World Cup (1995).

The movie is already getting a lot of pre-release Oscar buzz. It does seem to have all the right ingredients to be an Oscar contender. Powerful cast, great director, and a story based on real world events and famous people. Yeah, I think Invictus will take home a few Oscars.

Nightcap News is back! Our little end of day, list bit of news post is making its return tonight with an interesting trailer for a supernatural nazi zombie thriller, titled Blood Creek. Occult, Nazis, Nordic Mythology, Stones, Blood Drinking Undead. It’s all there.

Yes, the movie is ‘B’ quality, and there is indeed some lulz to be had watching the trailer. But there is also something else about the trailer that has me wanting to go out and actually pick up this movie, which comes out on DVD January 19th, 2010. I don’t expect greatness by any means. It just looks like a goofy horror / thriller flick, but in all the right ways.

Just the other night I posted the trailer for Prince Of Persia: The Sand Of Time, a movie which is adapted from the popular video game of the same name.

Tonight, I bring you two videos by IGN that feature commentary over the movie trailer from Prince Of Persia game creator AND movie screen writer, Jordan Mechner. I think this is a pretty cool idea. Sure, movie commentary is always interesting to hear, but I don’t think I have ever heard of movie trailer commentary before. What makes it even better is that it’s coming from the guy who actually created the video game back in 1989.

While, of course, Jordan can’t reveal any major spoilers, the trailer commentary does give some good insight as to what exactly is going on aside from all the cool action.

And now I am hearing your film “Rampage,” which has been hitting some film festivals, is actually getting genuinely positive reviews?! MADNESS, I SAY!
