Tekken Movie

I won’t be putting Tekken on my high priority list of movies to see, but being that it’s a movie based off a video game, I feel as if I have an obligation to see it. My guess is that the movie is gonna be crap, but I do appreciate that the movie actually takes premise from the video game instead of just borrowing the game title and some principle characters while totally making up its own bullshit story, like Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and Mario Bros. Plus, it’s a movie about a fighting tournament with contenders who possess supernatural fighting skills (at times), so that should make for some interesting action scenes if executed properly.

While on the subject of the action scenes, why don’t you take a look at a set of behind the scenes clips of the stunt men in Tekken. I always like seeing how much effort goes into cool fight scenes. Sometimes months of training converts into a quarter minute of screen time, but damn, it’s worth it!

I have included clips, movie trailer, and a few movie stills in the full post. Check it!

Alice In Wonderland Character Stills

Alice In Wonderland

We have more photos from Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland movie. I have no doubt some of these will become desktop wallpapers. This movie is a dream come true for many people I know. Fans of Tim Burton have been talking about how awesome a new Alice In Wonderland would be if Burton made it. Lo and behold, their wish came true. I am not a big Alice fan myself, but I am happy for those who are freaking out to see this movie.

I do expect to enjoy the movie though. If anything, I will get enjoyment from just watching the amazing visuals. That is, unless Burton has an AMAZING sense of humor and the movie turns out to be all stick figures.

Creation Movie Trailer

Posted in First Look | Movie Stills | Trailers on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009 by Rob Heath | Comments

Not sure why this little gem hasn’t been getting a whole lot of attention. The trailer is making the movie look real good to me.

“Creation: The True Story of Charles Darwin” focuses on the personal conflict of Darwin writing his book “On the Origin of Species.” The movie stars Paul Bettany as Charles Darwin and the always lovely Jennifer Connelly as Darwin’s wife, Emma Darwin. On a side note, both Bettany and Connelly are married in real life.

Here is the official synopsis from the website.

Synopsis

CREATION. A psychological, heart-wrenching love story starring Paul Bettany (A Beautiful Mind, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World) as Charles Darwin, the film is based on “Annie’s Box,” a biography penned by Darwin’s great-great-grandson Randal Keynes using personal letters and diaries of the Darwin family. We take a unique and inside look at Darwin, his family and his love for his deeply religious wife, played by Jennifer Connelly (A Beautiful Mind, Requiem for a Dream), as, torn between faith and science, Darwin struggles to finish his legendary book “On the Origin of Species,” which goes on to become the foundation for evolutionary biology.

I included the trailer in the full post, along with a few movie stills. Go check it out!

Nightmare On Elm Street High Res Image

We still have ways to go before we see Mr. Krueger return to the silver screen on April 30, 2010. So, from now till then, we will just have to settle on the teaser images and trailers.

Some new photos of Freddy have appeared online. They still don’t give a clear shot of Freddy’s face, but I was able to bring out some more detail in Photoshop from one of the photos.

Check ‘em out in the full post.

Iron Man 2 War Machine Poster

*Update* I replaced the old poster with a massive high res one.*

I find it quite surprising that War Machine isn’t kept a little more hidden in this first official poster for Iron Man 2 which has been debuted at Yahoo. While the poster doesn’t showcase a full stand alone photo of War Machine, it’s enough to get the idea. After all, his armor is basically a re-coloration of the Mark II armor with some slight heavy artillery modifications.

Check out the official poster in the full post.

Jonah Hex

Jonah Hex is a little comic property that most of us ignorant folk “don’t know nuttin’ bout.” But fear not, Hollywood is aiming to change that by bringing the property to the silver screen. Starring in the lead as Jonah himself will be No Country For Old Men star Josh Brolin.

I can’t give a good summary of what the comics were about being that I have never actually read any of the Jonah Hex comics, so I’ll paste a little except I found on comicvine.com about the character’s origins.

New Origin Summary

In his Brand-New ongoing series, Hex’s origin seems to have changed, he was a soldier who fought in the southern ranks during the American Civil War and he was scarred for life by a cruel union officer, he was also raised by the indians (and was given a tomahawk) Apparently he quit the tribe and now’s earning a living as a bounty-hunter in the wild west of the U.S. Fighting injustice and thugs, Jonah Hex thunders the arid plains with his two companions… One is Death Itself… The Other, the Acrid smell of gunsmoke. ~ComicVine

Movie character photo attached in the full post along with the synopsis.
