No no no, the trailer itself is not 3d. The movie is titled Piranha 3D. Although it would be awesome if a 3D trailer was made. I think we have a pair of 3D sun glasses in our homes that was swiped from our local theater or theme park. Well, I do at least.
So Piranha 3D is the 3rd installment in the Piranha series. This sequel isn’t taking it self seriously by any means, which is a great thing because the campyness is what makes this movie look so appealing.
I am still waiting for my super campy ‘The Kraken!’ movie to be made, but I have a feeling Piranha 3D will be a nice fill in that will have some reply value. Even better yet, a sequel titled “Kraken vs Mega Piranha”. Yeah, that would be sweet.

Although I don’t technically know what this trailer’s dialogue is saying, I know one thing; it’s speaking the language of ass kicking. Mutant Girl Squad doesn’t do much to separate itself from the rest of the movies in its genre, but that is fine. I still enjoy them all the same. Some of the effects in this trailer actually caught me off guard. Specifically the girl whose hand transforms into some weird mutant monster hand.
To get an idea at the insanity this film contains, read the synopsis first. This will at least give you some understanding of WHAT THE EFF is going on in this movie trailer.
Mutant Girl Squad Synopsis
“Rin, a bullied teenager discovers her arm has mutated into a razor-sharp weapon on her 16th birthday. A shadow government organization immediately begins hunting her down, slaughtering her parents in the process, but Rin is saved in the nick of time by a super-powered being called ‘Hiruko’. Soon, mutants from all over Japan are gathered together and begin militant training to overthrow the government. Meanwhile, Rin is fitted with a special iron mask and begins her life as a ‘battle girl’, utilizing both her mutant powers and acrobatic abilities to fight against mutant-hunting special forces. ~ shocktillyoudrop”

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is the latest book by Seth Grahame-Smith, whom previous works include Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. So Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter JUST came out today (March 2nd), and already there are plans to adapt it into a live action movie. Attached to the project is Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted). No other details on what exactly Tim and Timur (haha, Timur is like the Russian version of Tim) will be doing for the project. My guess is Tim Burton will produce while Timur Bekmambetov directs.
If the movie is anything like the promotional trailer above that is used to serve the book, I am in. Just make sure you get Daniel Day Lewis as Lincoln. I would like to see a behind the scenes featurette of Lewis in totally serious method actor mode as he pretends to be a dead president who hunts vampires.
Being a big fan of Gorillaz, I am already excited for the release of their new album, Plastic Beach, which comes out March 9th for us folks here in the United States. But now Gorillaz releases a music video for their first single, Stylo, which stars Bruce Willis as an unnamed man who is chasing down the fictional troupe at high speeds. Gorillaz + Bruce Willis in awesome music video = YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
The video made me laugh a few times. It’s that good ol’ Gorillaz style of a set of bizarre string of events that never really get explained. But the mystery behind it all is what keeps me loving it and wanting more.

I gotta hand it to The Onion for creating this video. It’s not like the works of Lars Von Trier are that well known by your average mainstream audience member. But I am glad they made this excellent video poking fun at the “artistic” styles of Von Trier mixed with tourism commercials.
Lars Von Trier is known around the film world for such works as Antichrist, Dancer in the Dark, and Europa, to name a few.

We all know that movie pirating will never stop no matter how many walls the movie industry puts up to stop it. Just like humans, the pirating culture will evolve to overcome all obstacles that stand in its way. James Cameron’s Avatar is no exception. With the moving being completely 3D, it’s near impossible for bootleggers to try pirating the movie.
The question is, who can overcome the obstacle of bootlegging a 3D movie and deliver the ultimate camcorder viewing experience to the masses? The answer is this man:
