Call this one an “archive” episode. We actually recorded this before I went to Comic-Con but I got way to busy with preparing for the con to actually post it. Good news is that we will be getting back on track and already recording a new episode this week. Hopefully we will get back into our weekly flow. The future is looking really good, so, keep checking back for new episodes. We will be posting this podcast on it’s own website soon. I will post about that in detail once I launch it. Nothing major, just a archive site just for the podcast.

A while back I posted a few movie stills of the upcoming film, Splice. Which at the time was still making its rounds in the film festival circuit, trying to gain attention and distribution. Now the movie is slated for a nation wide movie release and I couldn’t be more excited about it! The movie sounds like something from a cliche SyFy original movie, but it has the artistry and talent to make it work. Well, that is what the movie looks like so far…

We will have to wait for it to hit theaters to actually judge the movie for ourselves. So until then check out these cool Splice movie posters, which are SOOOOO much better than the current poster I am seeing around movie theaters. Seriously, that poster is bad and needs to be replaced with any of the current movie posters displayed in this post.

No no no, the trailer itself is not 3d. The movie is titled Piranha 3D. Although it would be awesome if a 3D trailer was made. I think we have a pair of 3D sun glasses in our homes that was swiped from our local theater or theme park. Well, I do at least.

So Piranha 3D is the 3rd installment in the Piranha series. This sequel isn’t taking it self seriously by any means, which is a great thing because the campyness is what makes this movie look so appealing.

I am still waiting for my super campy ‘The Kraken!’ movie to be made, but I have a feeling Piranha 3D will be a nice fill in that will have some reply value. Even better yet, a sequel titled “Kraken vs Mega Piranha”. Yeah, that would be sweet.

M. Night Shyamalan was saving some good stuff for this apparent “last” trailer. Although I am betting we will see a few TV spots with seconds of new footage coming out sooner or later.  This latest trailer is dare I say… epic? I don’t like to use that word, but the action sequences in this trailer have me giddy like a school girl driving to the mall to get her jr. prom dress. Wow, that was too descriptive. Eerrrr…. just watch the trailer!

A little history / background lesson. The Losers is based off of the Vertigo comic book series of the same name. Published from 2003 to 2006, the series was actually a reboot of the original ‘Losers’ comic book series that took place during World War II.

While ‘The Losers’ is not the most familiar comic book series to your average mainstream movie goer, it does contain all the right ingredients to be a very entertaining movie if translated correctly, so I am pleased that Dark Castle Entertainment was able to look beyond the lack of mainstream popularity this comic has, and actually take a risk at developing ‘The Losers’ into a wide release main stream movie.
