About Our 5 Star Review Scale:

Unlike many other movie review sites who use 10 point / star scoring system to identify how good or bad a movie is, we have chosen to stick with a much simpler scale that represents a genuine movie watchers emotion when watching a movie. It is our belief that all movies are not created equal and there for should not be judged with a technical point system.

5 Star Scale

10 point scoring systems are flawed. Human emotions and the enjoyment we get out of watching a movie can not be measured on 1-10 point system. We are simple creatures and trying to explain why exactly a movie deserves a 5 out of 10 through honest emotions is just bologna. We either hate, dislike, are indifferent, like, or love a movie, and that’s it. Our emotional scale when watching a movie ranges on 5 points of hate to love, simple as that. And that’s why we here at Movie Crematorium cut out the pseudo review bullshit, and give it to you straight with our 5 star movie rating system.

Don’t even get us started on 10 point scoring system with decimals, example: 7.5 stars.
