Repo Men! Movie

After watching the trailer, there is no denying that “Repo Men!” looks incredibly similar to 2008’s “Repo! The Genetic Opera.” A similarity which will be mentioned time and time again by countless other movie blogs and forums. I am just getting that out of the way now so when it comes time to post a new trailer or movie stills, I won’t have to keep talking about the comparison between the two. Yes, Repo Men! has the same story setup as Repo! The Genetic Opera. But if we can all manage to overlook that, we all might be able to see a trailer for a potentially fun action movie.

Here is a quick synopsis grabbed from IMDB on Repo Men!

Synopsis

Set in the near future when artificial organs can be bought on credit, it revolves around a man who struggles to make the payments on a heart he has purchased. He must therefore go on the run before said ticker is repossessed. ~IMDB

Repo Men! Movie Trailer

Repo! The Genetic Opera was a big disappointment to me. Mainly because the concept was so fantastic, but the movie itself was just boring. Too much focus on the kid in the movie and not enough on the cooler characters like the grave robber.

So, to me, Repo Men! is kind of like a second chance at seeing the same type of story again, but hopefully within a movie that is actually entertaining to watch. Oh, and minus all that mediocre musical crap.

Repo Men! looks like a cool flick so far. Predictable, but still cool. We shall see for sure how good the movie is when it hits theaters April 2nd, 2010.

Repo Men! stars Jude Law, Forest Whitaker, Liev Schreiber, and Alice Braga. Directed by Miguel Sapochnik.
